How far inland could Radio Caroline and Radio London be heard back in the 60's? I remeber picking up the great Laser 558 84/85 ish right over on the Welsh border

Just had to say I also remember the great Laser 558 at the same time. Why can't we have a radio with that brilliant sound again? Super format.


I live in the Midlands and can remember Caroline but as with medium wave it was better some days than others.

I maybe wrong but I seem to remember Laser 558 was based in Ireland , so that maybe why it was clear in Wales.Didn't Simon Bates have a go on it too?


I stand to be corrected though.

atlantic 252 was based in ireland. laser558 was based aboard the mv communicator, previously the panamanian registered gardline seeker.
