plublishing ur first cd

If I was going to plublish my first cd.would it be better to start off wiyh 8 or 4 songs.

I'd go with 4 to start with. Pick songs that show the range of what you do. Get some friends to help you short list the songs you pick..as the songs you think are great..other might not like. Try and get 4 songs that every one agrees are good. If your thinking about getting it listend to by A&R types then thats the best bet as they don't have to time to listen to too many tracks and they try to look for stuff that apeals to a wider fan base as possible. I remember going to an "A" gig and the "Sahara Hotnights" where surporting them and they where flogging 4 track CD's for next to nothing and giving away tapes with a medly of the 4 songs on it.
