After hearing Abide with Me at the FA Cup final, i'm asking if there are any pieces of music that make your hair stand on end?

Some songs come into their own when sang by a crowd.

U2's anthem '40' was awesome when sang by a packed Wembley crowd.

...I love N.Y.E by Badly Drawn Boy...

Some songs make me shiver from the base of my neck down to my toes.

Teardrop - Massive Attack
In a Manner of Speaking - Nouvelle Vague
Gorecki - Lamb

I'm sure there's loads more too, but the situation has to be right too - like laying in a darkened room with your headphones on....!

I forgot about "teardrop" by massive attack! How amazing is that. Almost euphoric! Just gets the blood pumpin!!

A song called " A Hundred thousand angels" by a band called Bliss
you will all think I am a right geek, but the piece of music that gets me is from an opera,it is the intermezzo from Cavaliera Rusticana, I think that is how you spell it,give it a listen,it'll knock ya bandy, I am a 6ft buiding worker and the first time I heard it i cried, so there you go, what a woose
Raysparx, funny you should mention that piece of music, my dad (who is also 6 ft and a builder) cries when he hears it too - especially if Andrea Bocelli is singing it. He always says he wants it played at his funeral. Amara xx

Macca - sorry for the late reply - but glad to have brought that one back to you!
