Napoleon XIV was the nom de plume of Jerry Samuels. You can get the lyrics to 'They're Coming To Take Me Away, Ha-Haaa!' and other of his works on: http://lovelace.fh-bielefeld.de/inkie/Napoleon.htm
l His
album Second Coming is still available and is a collection of the original LP in its entirety, plus more recent recordings. Samuels was a New York recording engineer who had written songs for Johnnie Ray and Sammy Davis, Jr, and who passed time playing piano in nightclubs. According to Rhino Records, the single sold nearly a million copies in little more than a week's time. Jerry stayed on at the recording studio and began making a second LP...' and later 'quit his job and hit the road to rediscover himself.' Then he found a new career running an agency to provide entertainers for, would you believe it, nursing homes. Details of his career are on the Second Coming sleevenotes which can be found at http://www.rhino.com/features/liners/72402lin.html
