Love The Final Cut, Echoes, DS of the Moon (espcially Time). In my humble opinion they are the best band ever, no-one can touch them ! Been a fan for over 30 years now and whenever I mention that I think they are brilliant, I get very odd looks, like I've just escpaed from a secure unit!!

I ADORE Pink Floyd with a passion! they are the second-best 'live' band I've ever seen (after Springsteen) and as a music writer, I've seen a lot!
I've seen them eight times - first on the DSOTM tour in 1974, last time when the seating collapsed at Earls Court, and i had to come back the next week - involving a second 320-mile round trip in a few days - but worth it of course.
I interviewd Guy Pratt who plays (played?) bass for Floyd on stage a month ago, he was such a nice guy.

been listening to Floyd for the last 20+ years, (since my mid teens) and i've not looked back. Wish You Were Here is my fave and the ultimate stoner album, whilst The Wall is one hell of a story with The Final Cut a slight but brilliant continuation of it. probably the best live band i've seen too. over their years somethings have been a bit dodgy, but never anything bad. like them or not, any fool who says they're crap truely doesn't know about music.
I LOVE Pink Floyd. One of these days (haha), I'm gong to own the whole Pink Floyd collection, as I only have about seven of their albums.
I grew up listening to them, as my Dad thought they were great and I've inheritted his great taste in music!
There was a great David Gilmour interview on Radio 4 the other day. You can still hear it on Listen Again, on the website.

ok...no band comes close to Floyd for me, having been a fan since I first saw them in 1970, a support band for Fairport Convention (who?)...
I was never lucky enough to see them perform live again, but managed to get to Wembley to see Roger Waters "In The Flesh" tour, which was surely the ultimate concert for me.
There is a tribute band doing the rounds, called Think Floyd, they're probably the nearest thing you'll get to the real deal..superb musicians, note for note, etc.,etc. (go to www.thinkfloyd.net for info).
