Try listening to some of Leonard Cohen. He is a brilliant songwriter but like Dylan doesn't have a great voice.
I have just been introduced to a blues/soul singer from the 50's who has a fantastic voice, Carla Thomas. She's the one who sings on the new comfort ad. I believe some of her tracks can be downloaded from somewhere but don't know where. I dont have broadband so cant do that. You probably know a few sites already
That was what I listened to in the 60's I also liked Tim Crowe and Leonard Cohen
Try Donovan, he was touted as the British Bob Dylan, also Joss Stone has been compared with Janis Joplin by some.

jefferson airplane.
An album called "Trouble" by Ray LaMontagne

"Surfacing" by Sarah McLachlan
I'd suggest Etta James, and Irma Thomas.
If you like Nina, then you may like some of the older lady jazz singers - Aretha Franklin, Lena Horne etc.
Jeff and Tim Buckley, and Nick Drake.
