What is jungle music?

Jungle music is a fast electronic dance music. It originated in the early 1990s and combines elements of techno and ragga music. Ragga music, by the way, is a dance-oriented style of reggae.

I would say its a kind of melting point of influences/styles ragga/reggae/hip-hop/dub/techno/acid and evolved into drum and bass - chronologically it sits between what would be known as traditional 'rave' music - (91/92) and the start of drum and bass (95/96).
