Can anyone tell me anything more about the above band? I know that they were Scottish, were in some way connected to another band called the Shop Assistants and that they had a song called Big Rock Candy Mountain out in 1987.

It's a while ago, but I'm almost sure I've got this right... the connection is not with the wonderful Shoppies (whatever happened to them?!) but with The Primitives, Tracey Tracey being the lead singer of both bands. Saw them playing in a small Camden venue about 12 years ago, heard nothing of them since. Must say, I loved those eighties bands with thrashy guitars and plaintive female vocals. Have detected a sort of spiritual link between that genre and Dubstar's album 'Disgraceful' - suspect I might be alone in that thought (and no thrashy guitars either!)
