it was originally recorded as an instrumental for the 1955 film Unchained by the Les Baker Orchestra, but was also released with lyrics almost immediately afterwards by Al Hibbler. In fact, in June 1955, there were four versions in the UK chart, the other two being by Jimmy Young and Liberace.
