The song opens with the lyrics 'this song is dedicated to the newlyweds' other lyrics are 'this is the day I'm gonna make you my wife' and 'on our wedding day'. It sounds like a black male group from 70's or 80's.
Can anyone help please - its driving me round the wall!

Could it be Whispers - I'm Gonna Make You My Wife? It doesn't say the wedding day bit though
