Help with a longshot,please !

Heard a song in a pub the other day,it was a dance song and was sang by a woman and sounded very recent.It was an original song but the way it was sang reminded me of Bette Davis Eyes by Kim Carnes....like i said a real long-shot but its driving me nuts not knowing !!!

the music in that song is from bette davis eyes but the lyrics are from boy meets girl waiting for a star to fall.it was the right genre tho.

the song to which im referring didnt cover bette davis eyes but the lyrics were snag in that sort of style......like i said a longshot !!!!!
