What's happened to Pete Waterman's male vocal harmony group, the losers of Pop Stars The Rivals, One True Voice? Where are they and what are they doing? I'm just curious as, after all the pre-Christmas hype, they seem to have disappeared into oblivion (good job too, you might say!)
Flirty, I asked a very similar question to this not long after Christmas, and I think there was only one answer from sft42.
He said they were actually in the recording studio cutting some new tracks for their album some of which were self-penned. He knew this as he personally knows one of the band. Amazingly, I was thinking about that very question just the other day and I couldn't for the life of me remember the name of the group!!! Such a fleeting brush with fame...
But that was 3 months ago, and *still* no word, no sign of them at all, not even a little bit of promotion on the kids' musics shows to remind us all they're still here? It's like they never existed! Was it all just a bad dream............!
Hi flirty - on their website it says that their tour has been cancelled (doesn't say when) due to unforseen circumstances, supposedly a business dispute between Granada & triple Promotions...Mmmm!!
Funny enough i have just seen Keith from the band a fortnight ago and we were discussing songwriting techniques in the pub together.......as far as i could gather he accidently wiped FIVE tracks he had written for the album and they are only now getting round to putting them back together so hopefully the album should be out in the next couple of months......Good Luck to the guys i say.....any of us would have jumped at the chance if we had the talent!!!
The difficulties they had with the tour were that nobody wanted to go. They canceled the tour (which was a joint tour with girls aloud) due to poor ticket sales. It was on the BBC news site a few weeks back. Lets hope this is the end of this sort of rubbish, both the songs were pretty good but theres just so much of this stuff around its boring.
