I've heard that there is a place you can phone and play a clip of music down the line, then they text you back the name and artist, does anyone have any idea what this is?????

The number you dial is 2580, i've used it and you have to hold your phone quite close to the source of music. I'm sure its something to do with kazaa.com.
This is how you do it: Go to www.shazam.com and register your mobile phone number. Then, when you hear a piece of music on the telly/radio etc you want to identify, point your mobile at the source for a few seconds after pressing 2580. They text you back with the info. It costs about 60p a go and my guess is they made a fortune out of the Peugot and Lynx ads.

Thank you all very much!
Everybody is right so far but you dont have to register your number. I think the only benefit of registering your number is that it keeps a history of those records you have 'tagged'. Its really cool and even works on remixes and the like i.e. telling you what the remix is.
