Doesn't have to be something really loud. Just needs to be something that goes right through you, if you know what I mean. Delta Goodren singing I Was Born to Try is a recent example that I can think of.

Thom Yorke on Radiohead's "Creep". I know it's been around forever. Its got to resonate with every bloke who's ever been dissed or rejected (or imagined that they would be if they tried something) by a woman.
jeff Buckley on 'Grace' that whole album makes me tingle
Roger Waters Don't leave me now from The Wall total desparation
"Everybody hurts" by REM
Hello Earth - Kate Bush, in fact the Whole of Hounds of Love is pretty powerful!
Eva Cassidy, especially Fields of Gold.
Dreams by The Cranberries
Stevie Wonder - Lately; Aaron Neville - With God on our Side. Can I have a dead heat?
Think Jeff Buckley's version of Leanard Choen's 'Hallelujah' and his own 'Grace' guy had one hell of a voice.
"Stay with me baby", Yvonne Ellison - tingles my spine every time.
You beat me to it Kit 'Stay with Me Baby' the only shivery record that's stood the test of time - and 'with God on our side' as well. Both pure magic!!
Clare Torrey on 'The Great Gig In The Sky' - every emotion you can think of, and no words.
This Woman's Work, originally by Kate Bush, but there's a version by Maxwell, and the first time I heard it, it made me cry and not other song has done that.
Patti Smith, 'Horses', 'Easter', 'Wave'.
Modesty out of the window time!!! I think it was myself when i had to sing with my band the night after I found out my ex was splitting up with me and she still decided to come and see me play....I had to sing "I don't wanna talk about it" as a special request for someone and boy I really didn't...it's hard to sing with tears welling up I can assure you folks....but seeing as not too many people were priviledged to see that preformance I'll opt for Labi Siffre singing on Something inside so strong.
I have to agree with sft42 about Labi Siffre. Another popular one with me would be Chris Isaak's long and beautifully angst-ridden notes on 'Wicked Game'.
I'm with Andy Hughes on this one. Absolutely wonderful.
Sam Cooke: "A Change Is Gonna Come". And every time Richard Manuel sang "I Shall Be Released" with The Band, live or on record.
I might be a little late....But Id Say Delta Goodrem-Born To tRy MUST WIN ME!
"Crackin' Up Over You" Roy Hamilton.
