Can anyone tell me who the song Come Up and See Me (Make Me Smile) was written about? I've heard that it was about his agent, but would like confirmation. Thanks!

He was on one of those I Love 1970s type progs not long back and I'm sure he said it was written for his former band members (who he was supposed to have sacked), sort of to say, "Look how well I'm doing now you've gone!" He was quite pleased at the time coz it was coming across that he was really tough to work with, if your face didn't fit etc. So he was in no mood to come out and say that he didn't really sack them, being quite pleased about his reputation.

It was actually Bill Nelson, who later went on to form Be-Bop deluxe
