Green Day Vs Eminem

Green Day hands down - no Eminem song compares with Good Riddance, best song ever!! I do think Eminem is very talented though but Green Day rock!! x

Eminem is an absolute one-off. And for a time was a genuine genius.

Green Day are better than their Blink 182-style peers but haven't changed the face of music.

GreenDay, but then Im not into the whole rap/r'n'b or krunk type thing. Saying that, I did have Eminems albums (but lost them in a split). I enjoy the lyrics in Eminems tunes but I think Dre is probably the genius behind his success.

I like Homers answer. You cant compare the two. I prefer Green Day-but then I'm an old lady and they've been around longer lol Well, I did, they've gone a bit rubbish lately.

Both talented in their own way. I'd say Green Day, but it's just personal preference. Homer's answer perfectly sums it up.

Eminem dramatically changed the face of rap music and opened it up to a much wider audience, in a rather stale era where most big US lyricists couldn't see beyond the champagne corks they had balanced on their ho's behinds.
Green Day pioneered the slacker-punk sound and were one of the biggest bands around in the mid-nineties. They went off the boil for a while, but stormed back with the best commercial attack on the George Bush merry-go-round that was released.

I listen to Green Day more, respect the songwriting abilities of both, and can't compare the 2.

I like them both (well I LOVE Green Day lol Have done for 14 years) so I would say Green day.
Having seen them both live I have to say that Green Day put on a far better show. I wasnt impressed with Eminem live. But like people have said I dont suppose you can really compare them
