It was a slow song sung by a deep voiced woman I think.
Here's the lyrics as I remember them;

Here's to you Nicola and......? Rest for ever here in our heart (repeated) lalalala...........Your agony is our triumph!

Blimey not much to go on but if anyone remembers the title and who sung it, would be much appreciated

The song is from the soundtrack to "Sacco e Vanzetti", a 1971 film by Italian director Giuliano Montaldo, and was written by composer Ennio Morricone and sung by folk singer Joan Baez.
