X Factor 07/10 Music for Sharon's Group

On the first X Faxctor show tonight when Sharon's singers were talking there was some music playing in the background. It is the same music I recognise from a film in the last few years. Anyone know what it is?

Probably the theme to 'American Beauty' by Thomas Newman.

Hi Leo, Thanks for the answer. Sadly I don't think this is the one. I recoginised the American Beauty music (my favourite film) but I'm sure the bit I'm trying to find is from something else.

They also use a lot of Craig Armstrong - his 'Romeo & Juliet' sountrack theme is one of many dramatic orchestral pieces they use.

What sort of music was it?

I also heard the piece you mean and really want to find out what it is.

I don't think it's Craig Armstrong and it was immiediately followed by "any other name" by thomas newman.

It's a very emotive, slow and quite dreamy piece with a piano lead written very much in the vein of Craig Armstrong.

It's called "A Really Good Cloak" by Mark Isham and it's on the soundtrack to the film "Crash".
