I happen to like the rain and wondered if anyone could recommend a CD that captures the sound of rain/storms etc?

rain and thunder sounds on this site
Mystic Moods Orchestra practically made a whole career off the back of an album called "One Stormy Night"; it's an easy listening album of orchestral stuff with rain and storms in the background. You'd have to order it from Amazon.com (i.e. the American site), though, because Amazon.co.uk doesn't seem to have it, and I've never seen it in a British store.
The Doors "Riders on the storm" has a bit in too
Try amazon. I've got one form there called Thundering Rainstorm I think

Cheers All. Thundering Rainstorm is the sort of thing I am after. Had a look at Amazon and there's a list of similar titles too.

Many years ago I think there was a song called "Rythem of the rain" and was sung by a well known group at that time. It started with a crash of thunder and then the sound of pouring rain.
The album version of 'I want a dog' on 'Introspective' by Pet Shop Boys has a great thunder and rain intro.
You should like 'Rhythm of the Rain' by 'The Cascades' a 1960s one hit wonder (single)
I meant to say it was on 'The Who' film soundtrack album 'Quadrophenia' and is available as a download on AllofMp3 and probably iTunes (their website is down at the moment).
Try Morpheus and enter "sound effects" it worked wheni needed it for background to a play that i was a part of hope this helps
My local dog training school loaned me a copy of a BBC CD that had 5 miutes of raistorm on it, try them & put it on a loop!
