I loved it at the time (and, for purely nostalgic reasons, still have a bit of a soft spot for it now - sssssh. Don't tell anyone). In my defence, I was only four years old when it was in the charts. In fact my nan had to go into the shop and get it for me, but it was out of my pocket money, so that counts as me buying it :-)
My first album I bought was the soundtrack to 'Vanishing Point'.
My first 'proper' album I bought for myself was 'Santana Abraxas' by Santana, and the first single I bought was 'The Gene Jeanie' by David Bowie, all when I was seventeen.
I was a bit of a late starter, but I sure made up for it since!

I didn't get into buying albums till I was quite old, was always content with listening to the radio and stealing my sister's albums. Consequently, the first single i bought was Baddiel and Skinner and the Lightning Seeds' 3 Lions in 1996 when I was 13 and the first album was The Bluetones' Return to the Last Chance Saloon in the same year.
The first single I begged for was Brotherhood of Man "Angelo" in 1977 - O the shame!
I finally went out and splurged on three singles, which I'm pretty sure were Blondie "Call Me", Souixsie & The Banshees "Happy House" and Police "Spirits in the Material World". Someone correct me if my dates are all wrong.... but not bad taste for a 10 yr old, eh?!
