Supposedly someone (possibly Harris himself) challenged Jimmy Webb to write a hit song that was completely meaningless. If the legend is true, then Webb certainly fulfilled the challenge pretty well, as the song was not only a smash for Harrus but has been recorded by many other artists since, including Donna Summer whose disco version was a huge hit stateside.
