I was under the impression you could just turn up and buy a day pass for Reading, for V2003 try eBay

Day passes for Reading are almost sold out, gone are the days where you could just turn up. May I suggest Leeds? Tix still available from mean fiddler and exactly the same lineup as Reading. No Chilli Peppers though...

I don't think you'll have much luck unless you're willing to pay an arm and a leg, the Chilis are the main reason the tickets vanished so quickly
