The Verve included an excellent string sample on the track 'Bittersweet Sympony' which was used without permission but was also used by Rest Assured on 'Treat Imfany'. What was the song/arrangement sampled and who is it by?

The sample on Bitter Sweet Symphony is from "The Last Time" as recorded by the Andrew Oldham Orchestra. The "sample" on Treat Infamy is a reconstruction by session musicians.
