Can anyone help with this song, about 6/7 years ago, guy singer, guitary slow with lyrics of chorus like 'and i wish you wouldn't leave me and i wish you would stay' then goes all high

I think the song you are looking for is On And On by The Lonpigs. It is on the album The Sun Is often Out. Great album.
