I consider that I've had a scarred childhood, one during which I was forced to listen to Jimmy Young on Radio 2 in the school holidays; Terry Wogan accompanied me to school. I can thank my parents' indiscriminate musical 'tastes' for an early introduction to The Beatles and Stevie Wonder, plus a particularly excellent version of Jose Feliciano's Light My Fire, but for this formative education to be called upon to regurgitate the lyrics for my regular Sunday night torture (have you noticed that Ken Masters is now in Family Affairs on Channel 5?) is quite beyond belief. But since I can't resist piping up when I know the answer: Always there, Your love is always there Just like the (think: syncopation from Blondie's 'Sunday Girl) Your love is always there.... (Cue: big string instrumental break) Shoot me now. Please.
