If 60's were 90's by The Beautiful People. They took some Jimi Hendrix samples, added bass and drums (real ones) and 'funked it up'. It is a seriously cool album and I never thought that Hendrix stuff could be 'modernised' like that but I bet if he was still alive, it's what he would be doing now.
Im also prone to downloading the occassional one hit wonder from the 80's,but sometimes its difficult to remember them. One of my favourites is "duel" by propaganda.
A few of my favourites, which would have remained undiscovered or forgotton were it not for Kazaa (and formerly the mighty Audiogalaxy)...

1) Shack - Undecided (an incredibly beautiful tune)
2)Clem Snide - I love the Unknown.
3) Kings of Convenience - Toxic Girl.
4) Teengage Fanclub - Some People Like to f*ck with you.
5) Athlete - El Salvador.
6) Ben Kweller (How it should be Sha Sha)
7) Dexy's - Jackie Wilson Said.
8) Canned Heat - Goin up the Country.
9) The Valentines - Breakaway.
10) Nik Kershaw - Wouldn't it be Good (Acoustic Version which is very good)!

All fantastic records
old rare 80s tunes i couldnt get on compilations duel-propaganda icicle works- love is a wonderful colour alphaville-big in japan the alarm-68 guns i managed to get 100s id neva have got in the shops
Try some Philadelfia soul from the 70's and 80's its very catchy and uses a lot of orchestral stuff and is sampled for a lot of modern stuff (sophie ellis bextor how does it feel) and the Muller light yogurt add is Teddy Prendergast Close the door. Lou Rawls the Jones girls Dexter wendrel give it a try if you like Barry White you'll love it.
