Glastonbury 2007

I heard Michael Eavis being interviewed about the line-up for this years festival anf he hinted that they were trying to get a band who last played live around 25 years ago. Does anyone has any ideas (my thought was Genesis with Peter Gabriel but that doesn't look likely) or has the plan been shelved?

I dont know if you misunderstood but I saws him on local telly and he said that they may have an act they have always wanted to play there but never have and that has of course manifeste4d to be the Who. I havent heard of any other vintage acts in chats.
Although Coldplay are supposedly playing the Taunton Cricket Ground, yay!

Hmmm, swings and roundabouts, mattk and ganesh - I saw the reformed Velvet Underground at Glasto some years back ('93 I think). IMHO it was just awful - Lou Reed looked and sang like he just didn't want to be there - and I wish I hadn't bothered. Don't even get me started on the Pistols reforming!! On the other hand, The Who never really went away, did they, and their 'remake' of the Live at Leeds gig was brilliant, apparently. And one of the best gigs I've been to was to see the reformed Wonder Stuff run through the hits in 2000...
