Does anybody know who Snow Patrols song 'Chasing cars' is written about/ for?
Does anyone else agree is the most amazing song?

I cant answer the first part of your question but yes,yes, yes it is a truly amazing song and should have won song of the year at the brits. In fact i think its one of the best songs for the last few years.

Gary's dad used to say he was like a dog chasing cars when talking about a girl he really liked at the time. I dfont think it has been recealed who exactly.

I must be the only person in Britain that cant stand the song. I am a Snow Patrol fan but that song IMO is one of their weaker ones.

allegedly the album, so I have been informed, is about the break up of the lead singers marriage, I think he had been a naughty boy and this is the feel of the whole album. If anyone knows if I am wrong please tell me!
