they used to make songs that were like a news report. A reporter would ask a question and the answer was a line from a song. Any idea of where I can find any of these??

For fitting in exactly with your description, I'd be inclined to go along with the two Chris Hill singles mentioned by THAIBUS.

Don't know where you'd find them though, sorry. These were his only two hit singles, charting at Christmas 1975 and 1976 respectively. I suppose some sort of Christmas compilation would be your best bet.
