Downloading albums
1 Answers
Hi, I download music from bearshare and morpheus, I was a complete techno-virgin until Xmas just gone so am not really very good at knowing how to do things or where to go.
Can anyone reccommend a site that is simple to use, FREE (peer 2 peer or something like that) and where I can download entire albums, now that I have a memory card (ooooh, get me!) and am feeling a bit adventurous. Ta in advance.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.natalie, download and install a program called BitLord (www.bitlord.com).This is the programme that will allow you to download what are know as torrents (music/moies,tv,etc).Bitlord is free, and I have been using it for a few years now.
Once you have installed BitLord, open the program up, and you should see lots of icons at the top of the page. click on the one named web (second from left) and a browser will open up.You are now able to type in torrent websites, and these are the sites where you find and download stuff.I highly recommend tying in www.mininova.org, as it has pretty much everything you can think of.Once you find what you are looking for, just click on the title and another page will open up, then simply click on the words 'download this torrent'.Another box will open up where you can browse for where you want to store you file, and after you have decided this, you just click on ok, and the file will start downloading. You can check the progress of your download by clicking on the Tranfer icon.Dont worry if the download speed seems a little slow at first, it usually speeds up after a few minutes.
When you are searching for something to download, you will see numbers at the right hand side of the page named seeds and leechers.Seeds are the amount of peoople who have the full file already, and leechers are the number of current people downloading that file.I usually find that the more seeds there are, the better the download speeds, but if there is also a high amount of leechers, this can slow the speeds down.
give it a try, you wont regret it, and you will never want go back to bearshare or morpheus.
