There was a song... perhaps in the 80's - maybe 70's.... sounded like the Pointer Sisters... can't really give you much in the way of lyrics... think it went something like...
" Up 2-3-4-5-6-7-8, back 2-3-4-5-6-7-8"
It wasn't a particularly fast song... but would be REALLY ideal to do floor exercises to.
I feel a right numpty for being so vague, but this site is full of genuises i'm sure!!

It's "I was born under a wanderin' star". Hope this helps.
There was a dance song with the same lyrics (a Jane Fonda work out sample apparently) out in the 90s called Gym Tonic by Bob Sinclair. Not the answer you were after, but some additional info :o)
