i just can't figure it out!!!

Ok. What i am looking for is the name of a band and the song name for one of their songs. The only thing i can remember about the song is that it was played on MTV2 discover and download around 2000- 2002. Also the lead singer was wearing leather pants and he was very skinny, he had longer black hair , and he keep singing in front of a window in a empty room. the video kinda gave you a NIN meets video at the drive in kinda feel.
