How obscure is possible; or, does Andy like a challenge?
Does anyone know anything about singer/songwriter Diane Scanlon?

Her style is based firmly in blues and gospel - she grew up listening to Lena Horne and The Beatles, which pretty much pin down her influences and style.
Although critically aclaimed as a writer and musician, widesppread public attention has been slow coming for Diane, possibly because of her slow recording rate, and her penchant for lending her skills to other musicians. During a career which has seen extensive touring throughout Europe, Diane has released one solo album, 'Devotion' in 1992, and the working title of her second album, which is currently in production, is 'The Misunderstanding'.
Diane's writing skills are reaching a wider audience thanks to the increasing posthumous fame of Eva Cassidy - Diane co-wrote 'I Know You By Heart' and 'Love Heals The Wound It Makes' which are the first and second tracks on Eva's 'Eva By Heart' album, a collection of gospel and jazz songs she recorded between 1990 and 1996.
Hopefully the release of Diane's new album may see her critical stature matched by some serious commercial recognition.
