Most of the early number ones would have been recorded in one go (in mono too!) but what was the first that they nailed in the first take? Well quite honestly, I doubt anyone knows for sure, but I bet a lot of people have made that claim. I wouldn't be too hopeful of getting a definitive answer on this question.
