My mum used to sing the jewish song "My Yiddish Mama" - found the lyrics on net but would love/buy a cd of anybody singing it.

You have brought back a memory. My father in law (no longer with us) used to sing this song. I have only heard it once in its original format, but I cannot remember who sang it. At first I thought it may have been Alma Cogan? but have checked and can't find her singing it anywhere. It will be interesting to see if someone else replies with the answer. In the meantime if I happen to findout I will reply. Good luck

It was Anne Shelton. She first recorded it with
Ambrose and his orchestra in 1941, and again
in 1949 with a studio band.
