when the bands playing in the whit walks had rested they used to start playing with a tune i am told could either be called sleighbird or firebird .Can anyone inform me .It was quite a solemn tune.

Might be from the firebird suite by Mussorgsky.
Possibly night on a bare mountain from that suite.
