Does anyone know of The Seekers ?
I have been twiddling around the radio dials and found some marvellous music - The Seekers. It appears to have been a Geordie group, lead singer Judith Durham. Is anyone old enough to remember them, they seem like a good load of humanity, and my god can that girl sing, up there with Enya.

Judith had a few solo albums out in the mid 1970s and was on a few jazz shows on tv here, the new Seekers had nowt to dow ith them except i think Tom Springfield managed them both. I remenber that she started to wear barabra streisand style bandanas / headscarves, don't know why that sticks in my mind!
If you like the seekers, you will like this - not the best recording made of it, but good nevertheless. Check out Fairport Convention.

They were actually Australian and very big in the sixties over here. Judith was my Dad's favourite singer and we went to see them at Bournemouth. Imagine my Dad's horror when it was announced that Judith had been taken ill and the understudy would be performing that night! She did have a fantastic voice (still has!). It resonates like a bell. Glad you've discovered them!
