Have you tried 'The Prodigy' !!!
nerf herder, primal scream, soundgarden, prodigy (as starman says), ash, belle and sebastian, kinks, cold, portishead, massive attack, supreme beings of leisure...christ i have 20gbs of music and could be here forever listing
My dad was an orginal 60's hippy and his favourite music was by "The Incredible String Band" - bit odd, but very "hippy"!!
Download 'Everlovin' Man' by '60s Aussie band The Loved Ones. I guarantee you'll like it! If you can't download it - I recommend their album Magic Box - it's all pretty good and it's available at a 'nice price'.
How about Glasgow's own Donovan and in the same vien Cat Stevens? If you are stuck go and buy and old copy of the guinness book of hit singles (you can normally find a cheap one in most charity shops) and wade through it for inspiration.
Try Red House Painters, Pavement, Dinosaur Jr. All low-fi but fantastic.
Get youself a copy of "Forever Changes" by Love. Fantastic.
Try this site http://www.allmusic.com/ and type in a favourite artist, and as well as giving you loads of info about that particular artist, it will suggest similar artists too. Jim
