The lighting and setting was fantastic but the lack of imagination in the setlist was a real let down. They hadn't learned one new song for the gig - it was the same old stuff that they've played way too many times. No wonder Collins strolled through this gig.
Highlights were Ripples, Afterglow and Los Endos. I still cannot understand how anyone can like these songs and also tolerate the utter rubbish that is 'I can't dance': I just don't get it?
Evidently this tour was about 'proving' something about the Genesis catalogue....well they proved nothing this time around. Hopefully, they'll tour again and drop the current setlist in its entirety.
A wasted opportunity really - great staging though, and probably worth it for Ripples alone.
