This is credited to Michael Bolton rather than Pavarotti, but the words don't change. I think every tenor worth his salt has performed this at some point, though.
It certainly is quite an old song. It should in fact be credited to Italian composer Gaetano Donizetti, as it comes from his 1832 opera L'elisir d'Amore (libretto by Felice Romani). The thought of Michael "Poodle Perm" Bolton's God-awful screech attempting opera fills me with dread.
