Id like a list of your favorit cover versions, but mostly Id like songs were the artist covering the song has stamped his or her own mark on the song.
For instance the version that Sherly Crow did of Guns and Roses, Sweet Child of mine.
Or the Jonny Cash Cover of U2's One

I like Gary Jules version of Tears for Fears' "Mad World".
I agree about Johhnny Cash and "One and he also did a brilliant cover of Nine Inch Nails "Hurt"
I also Like Marilyn Manson's cover of "Sweet Dreams"

My favourite is Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley a Leonard Cohen cover and I also like Big Mouth Strikes Again by Placebo, a cover of a Smiths song and Johhny Cash's cover of Hurt by Nine Inch Nails.
Goodsy, I agree that was a good cover by Muse and I AM slightly warming to them, but can you tell me why I still want to punch Matt Bellamy in the face? :)

Annoyingly enough Goodsy I think I would have liked it but I wouldn't admit it, I'm too stubborn ;)
I thought the last album was awesome so I am trying to like them a bit more, honest. I just can't get past the smug face, but I suppose it's the only one he has ;)

Whiskey in the Jar - Metallica is so much better than the original, Thin Lizzy shud deny ever doing it themselves.

Nightwish - Over the hills and Far Away is amazing compared to the crap original.

By calling Thin Lizzy's Whiskey In The Jar "the original", then, neo, they must surely have stamped their own mark on the song, since it was a cover itself (of a traditional Irish song) !!
