Straight to mind is Diana Ross's 'Upside Down', with the line "Respectfully I say to thee ...." if they can't think of a better rhyme for 'respectfully', why not change the line altogether? It sounds even more pants when she sings it that it looks written down here.

I've just thought of another one that always makes me cringe, it's a song by Adrian Gurvitz in which he says "gonna write a classic, gonna write it in an attic, babe I'm an addict". hmmmm, classic, attic, addict.......
