Woke up in a cold sweat last night with a complete song going round and round in my head but have no idea what it is or who it is by.Has a bit of an XTC feel to the song but have tried all usual searcheswith no luck.
Part of lyrics are..

Any ideas before I stick a fork in my head to stop myself thinking about it.?

The only Country Boy song I can think of is North Country Boy by the Charlatans but your lyrics make me think I am wrong. It's here anyway:
