Is it me?

Let me stake my claim from the start - as a music writer, I am aware that tastes vary between ages, and rap music is not aimed at 49 year old white men specifically, but, that said ....The Streets' new single is cod fourth form self-pitying whining dross, unfit for anything outside a school encounter group! Dry your eyes mate? Get some talent mate! It's simply NOT GOOD ENOUGH! Opinions please?

Still, I shall just play Eminem's 'Stan' and remind myself how it should be done.
Never thought I'd see Mr Andy Hughes getting so worked up about anything! I've probably missed the debate now, but for what it's worth I think everything that Mr Skinner has done has been very good including Dry your eyes, he's no Eminem but then he's not trying to be. I think his songs are on the whole witty and entertaining and dry your eyes is even a little touching. In a world where the charts are dominated by formula based and manufactured "pop" he should be applauded... well done that man!
This opinion may be suprising seen as im only 13 years old. I liked their first song but the second is rather dreary but the chorus is good.
To me this whole question relates to me and my mum: she hates rap i like it.
Everyone has different tastes and to me the question just seems a bit like an argument starter.
