Getting out of prison

I saw a video on MTV recently which was for song, sung by a black woman about what she was doing whilst she waited faithflly for her man, who was currently in chokey. The video had her in the back of an open top car driving round the American deep south, and was shot in slightly grainy/sepia style. Can anyone help me with the artist and title please.?
