What is the SONG & who is the ARTIST!

I heard this song the other day at work and I was curious if anyone know the title of it and the artist who performs it. It's the kind of song that you always hear at Wal-Mart or when shopping at the Super Market. Here is what I remember about the words...."Into the night (or light), Into the night (or light)". "Step into a car and drive, to the otherside." It souns like maybe a song for the late 80's or early 90's. Thanks for the help!
