It's one of the worst records ever made... called "Classic", and the evil-doer was Adrian Gurvitz. Whatever happened to him...?
It was sung by Adrian Gurvitz and is called Classic
it was adrian gurvitz about 1978.
As previous responses confirm, the title of the song is "Classic", written by Adrian Gurvitz who enjoyed brief fame as a "progresive rock" musician when he joined his brother, and ex-Cream drummer Ginger Baker in the short-lived 'Baker-Gurvitz Army'. Mr Gurvitz was universally derided for his rather over-wrought ballad - not least because he rhymed "attic", "classic" and "addict" in the first three lines. Doubtless if you mentioned such thoughts to Mr Gurvitz, who enjoyed a major top three single in most of the English-speaking world, he would echo the words of Whigfield when a journalist advised her that 'Saturday Night' was pop pap - "Speak to my bank account!" was her response. Says it all really.
the singer is Adrian Gurvits.
