Oh and by the way, just because an act is not trendy to follow, or because they are pop, it doesnt mean they are naff (or whatever term you want to use).
When I was following The Dooleys, others I knew were going to see The Jam or Status Quo, groups who were championed at the time by the "so called" TRENDY radio stations and music mags.
That is only their opinion, and we all use music for different reasons. Some want their music to make a point, while some just want music as light relief. So all the poppy records and the acts are a bit off fun, light relief (as I call it). There are no messages and they are not to be taken seriously, but the pop bands get knocked because of that, and also because they are also usually produced by people who wouldnt make it as popstars themselves.
