Technically, you could of had The Osmonds as they were turned into cartoon characters in the 70s. As were the Jackson 5 (Though they did not have a UK No1 until well after their cartoon had finnished). There was Spitting Image but they were mainly puppets. What about Jive Bunny, JB was pictured as a cartoon rabbit (although he was never a cartoon show character). YEP, I guess its the Simpsons. Following his death, Jackie Wilson was turned into plastercine for the video of "Reet Petite".
