Whilst lazing by a pool in Majorca for a week, I heard a song with lyrics something like: Mena mena mena nay, Mena mena mena nay, Mena mena mena nay, Mena mena mena nay seemingly 100 times. It's not my kind of music, but it's buzzing 'round my head. Any idea of the title/group? Cheers!

It is 'Dragostea din tei' by O Zone. A Romanian record that made it ino the UK top twenty

I downloaded the O Zone suggestion and whilst I can see why you thought it was this, it most definitely was not! They sound like a cross between Erasure and Kraftwerk. The one I want is a summer holiday hinduva song and as I remember there are no discernible lyrics, but the line: Menemanemanemanay repeated a lot. Thanks anyway

You're right, it is irrelevant, but the answer is Palmanova. I'm beginning to think that this song was a Spanish/European summer hit, but not known over here in the UK. Oh well...

Finally got the answer on another forum. It was 'Madan' by Martin Solveig vs. Salif Keita. Not my usual kind of music, but very catchy!
